Purpose:
The purpose of this is to highlight some of the issues and resolutions while setting up a Delta DataMart scenario of loading data from an aDSO using the ODP framework.
Scenario:
- Setup DataMart BW connection using ODP framework (i.e. Connect from local BW system to Global BW system)
- Setup delta DataMart from aDSO to Global BW using ODP Framework
Landscape:
Source and target systems are BW 7.4 SP13
Issues and resolutions:
System Connectivity Issues:
- Destination XYZ : ping waiting time (5 Seconds) exceeded
- Resolution

- NB: Please note that for note 2203314, you may need to configure the ‘<technical name of ODP source system>_DIALOG’ with the background user details
ODP Issue:
- Issue Overview: Unable to load delta directly from aDSO using ODP Framework
Delta Process in the Datasource definition in theTarget BW is set to "Delta only using full upload (DSO or InfoPackage selection)":
DTP:
The only Delta option is ‘From PSA’
- Resolution:
- Apply SAP Note 2334387 (And dependant notes)
- ‘Replicate metadata’ for affected Datasource
- Review the updated Delta process in the definition of the Datasource:
- The Delta option to extract directly from source is now available. The DTP can also be enabled for RDA data transfer
