Hi

Recently I have faced an issue while activating the
composite provider which included with 16 DSO’s and 1Infocube as union and 6
Master data info object as Join.

The composite provider set contains nearly 700 fields (Info
objects + Key figures)

While activating system giving an error as below and unable
to activate.

“EC:9999"internal SQL error occurred in DBSL; SY-SUBRC
from ADBC(DBSL) = 16; maybe it is due to memory shortage, try to increase

parameter ztta/short_area; refer to developer trace file
dev_w7 for further information"

Creation of column view for @3ZCP_TEST failed

CompositeProvider ZCP_TEST not created”

  Resolution:

The reason for the error is a parameter with an obsolete
value.

The standard value of the profile parameter ztta/short_area is 3,200,000 bytes.
Its maximum value is 6,400,000 bytes.

In the case of very large InfoProviders, the associated model can become very
large, if the InfoProvider has many characteristics, key figures and/or
PartProviders. The model is sent to the SAP HANA database via an SQL statement.
Since the size can be many megabytes, the value for ztta/short_area may be
overwritten. In that case, the result is the error described above.

Basis team has made a change to ztta/short_area parameter as
per the note and they need to restart system.

For the above change we are able to activate the composite
provider

Regards,
